Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-10-12 · Effective 2026-10-12

These terms explain the rules for using SongServant Studio: your account, our plans and billing, your content and exports, and the desktop app.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Servant Hood, which runs SongServant (“SongServant”, “we”, “us”), for songservant.com, the SongServant web app and the SongServant desktop app. By creating an account or using SongServant, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 13 years old to use SongServant. If you accept these terms for a church or other organisation, you confirm that you're allowed to bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.

2. Your account

Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at gabeboisvert@gmail.com if you think someone else is using it.

3. Plans and billing

  • Free — exports up to 720p at 30 fps. Your first 5 exports have no watermark; after that, exports are watermarked.
  • Pro — exports up to 4K at 60 fps with no watermark, as Pro Monthly, Pro Annual (which includes the Mac and Windows desktop app), or 30-Day Access (a one-time payment that doesn't renew).

Prices are the ones shown on our pricing page and at checkout, in Canadian dollars (CAD), plus applicable taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Manage Subscription; Pro continues until the end of the period you've paid for. If we change a price, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

Refunds. Payments aren't refundable, but you can cancel at any time. If you cancel Monthly or Annual, Pro continues until the end of the period you've paid for and then doesn't renew. 30-Day Access is a one-time payment and isn't refundable. None of this limits a refund the law requires us to give.

4. Your content

You own what you bring to SongServant and what you make with it — your lyrics, text, images, projects and custom effects. You give us a limited permission to store, process and display that content only to run SongServant for you.

You confirm that you have the rights to the content you use, including song lyrics (for example, through a CCLI or similar licence). SongServant does not license lyrics or songs.

5. Using your exports

Videos you export from SongServant are royalty-free to use in worship services, livestreams and events, with no attribution required.

You may not resell or redistribute SongServant's effects, presets or exports as a stock library, template pack or competing product.

6. Acceptable use

  • Don't get around watermarks, export limits or access checks, including by opening several accounts.
  • Don't reverse engineer, scrape or copy SongServant, or try to break or overload it.
  • Don't use SongServant for anything unlawful, or for content you don't have the rights to.

7. The desktop app

The Mac and Windows desktop app is licensed to you while you're on the Annual plan, or as we otherwise grant. It checks your plan online and updates itself automatically.

8. Our property

SongServant's software, effects, presets, designs and brand belong to us or our licensors. Apart from your own content, these terms don't give you any rights in them beyond using SongServant as described here.

9. Third-party services

SongServant relies on other services — for example Stripe for payments and Supabase for accounts. Their own terms apply to what they do, and we're not responsible for them.

10. Availability and new features

We work to keep SongServant running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. Features we mark as beta or preview may change or go away.

11. Ending your account

You can stop using SongServant at any time. To delete your account, email gabeboisvert@gmail.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first.

12. Disclaimers and limits of liability

SongServant is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we don't make promises beyond those in these terms, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100 CAD.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived (for example, under Quebec's Consumer Protection Act).

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes go to the courts of Ontario, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring them there.

14. Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email before a significant change takes effect. Questions: gabeboisvert@gmail.com, or write to Servant Hood, 2579 Harmony Road, Corbyville, Ontario, Canada.
